Unfortunately, those DIY (do it yourself) screws that you screw through the top side of the carpet do not really work and here's why. In order to secure the subfloor with screws, you need to know where the underlying floor joists are. This is because if you screw an area between the joist then you are not securing the subfloor to anything. You are simply drilling the screws into thin air. The truth is that you need to access the subfloor and visually inspect the location and direction of the floor joist, so you know where to place your screws. Where there are joints in the subfloor, each side of the joint must be screwed to the floor joist. This is impossible to achieve without a visual inspection of the subfloor.

We can remove the carpet and underlying cushion to inspect and repair your squeaky subfloors. Once the subfloor repair is completed, we have the expertise & tools to re-seam and re-install the carpet back where it was. The only difference will be a quiet subfloor and a tightly stretched carpet that is guaranteed for life. If we detect squeaks coming from the walls, we have a solution for that too.

We simply remove the wall base along the wall. We then drill 5" screws into the wall base plates under the existing wall base we removed. After securing the wall, we replace your wall base, caulk along the top of the base where it meets the wall and fill in the tiny holes caused from trim nails used to secure the wall base. You will not have to worry about a thing, we handle it all and we make sure your home is put back together better than when we arrived.
